  10. Wonderful!

    I love the analogy.

...weft through / the warp of your life

is just a wonderful line (I smile in delight).

I'm a first time visitor. Having a look around your blog, there's quite a bit I like. I don't know how I've missed it; must have been busy, don't know what with.

    You write in your profile:

"I'm just a gal who writes.
    I just do.
    It's how I play."

Well, let me just say: you got game girl! :)

  13. I have to agree - I love the whole idea of life being a tapestry. It reminds me of Carole King's song from (I think) 1970 or 1971.

You did a lovely job of weaving your words here.

  15. Nice take on a prompt that was frankly incomprehensible to me. I'm waiting for next time, I think.;)

I like weaving images and you've used them well here to number the threads that tie us together.

  16. A tapestry stitched by individuals to create the one sole piece, the quilt of time. Well expressed.

she's still not over the fact that  she is under the ground she speaks in rattly, clattery hissing  voices whenever they come around "I'll reach right up and turn your ankles you unforgivable gits,  for burying me,  prematurely,  over a spell of the coughing fits" so angry with her new residence and  bored a deeper shade of blue she's knocked over her marble marker and broken it clean in two. waiting for the boss

this is the story of a girl who lived in the basement of the girl next door sheltered in the confines of a  suburban tract house dungeon; her punishment for runnin' wild with dreams half unlatched she ran like a spirit in the night from those badlands wind blowin' through her hair shielding her eyes from the blinding light she hugged onto a shoreline of hope someday soon, she's not sure when her savior will rise up from the streets with an armload of rain soaked roses and second chances Rene ~ 2010 Click  Here   to join Magpie Tales creative writing group .
