strange garden

if i only knew
where he went
i'd go and fetch him
throwin' im
over me back
dancing
all the way home

this
is the strangest
garden
a place to blossom
without root
a place for flight
without wings

so easy
to get carried away
talking about the beauty
of where we all end up
instead of living
making
the most of where we start

  1. intriguing write rene...the first two stanza dance really well...the third threw me a bit with the introduction of him...my initial assumption is a play of the where we start in the second...i may be wrong though...

  4. Sometimes, it is because of where we start that we truly appreciate the beauty of where we end up.

    Sometimes.

    You made me think.

  5. Ahh. That last stanza... The path of my life: to learn to appreciate where I am rather than wishing myself elsewhere...
