Carrot

peach colored night
sailor’s delight
my gypsy soul
wrestles for control

over my
common sense
gonna hop the fence
and hit the road

less traveled
let my life unravel
and all the knots
untangle

nobody askin'
where i'm going
or
where i've been

don't need
no certification
to take a load off,
my friend

fed curiosity
to the cat
left my baggage
at the flat

come hit
the road less traveled
let your life unravel
and the knots untangle

follow the
carrot
i
dangle

down
the
road
less traveled

  5. Perfect. I especially liked the allusion to the road less travelled - I'm a big fan of Robert Frost (I'm pretty sure he was a distant relative of mine.... :) )

  8. Well, Rene, I feel so redundant here after such exquisite prose but truly, brilliant poem again. I adore it.

    Love this line in particular:
    "Feed your curiosity
    to the cat..." BRilliant.
