"room with a view" - Rene 2009

sitting,
eyes closed
bathed in luxurious
silence
the refrigerator
hums a lullaby as
the kitchen clock
keeps time
the floorboards
and i
settle in for
the night
these are
the heart sounds
of my sanctuary

i lean back
breathe in
exhale
unwind
